Home Information Packs Suspended
On the 21st May 2010 the Government suspended Home Information Packs. This move, effective both in Hull and nationally, was welcomed by a number of solicitors and is a major change to rules regarding buying and selling property.
The result of the suspension is that sellers no longer have to provide a Home Information Pack before marketing their property. The only requirement that remains is to supply an Energy Performance Certificate, which has to be obtained within 28 days of putting aproperty on the market. Aside from this no other documentation is now required.
