Areas of Expertise > Family Law Solicitors Hull
Family breakdown can be one of the most difficult periods in your life. At times of such intense stress, emotion and anxiety it is essential to have the guidance, advice and support of an experienced family lawyer, who can not only provide the expert help you need, but do so with sensitivity and understanding.
Our family law department is one of the largest in Hull, undertaking legal work for both fee paying and legal aid clients.
Our lawyers specialise in providing advice about:
- Divorce and separation
- Children matters
- Financial and property issues
- Domestic abuse
- Children proceedings involving the local authority
All of our lawyers are members of Resolution, an organisation committed to a Code of Practice aimed at reducing the level of bitterness and hostility between separating couples. We have lawyers who are members of the Law Society's Children Accreditation Scheme and Family Accreditation Scheme, and also lawyers who are Resolution Accredited Specialists.
We have in-house collaborative lawyers who could work with you, your former partner and his/her collaborative lawyer to try and resolve issues face to face in a non-confrontational manner. Many people find the new and innovative collaborative approach more beneficial and cost effective than a court based approach. We also have a qualified mediator who can work with couples to help resolve matters amicably.
We are committed to resolving matters outside the court arena wherever possible. However, we also pride ourselves on our standard of advocacy and the representation that we provide for our clients.
